Siew Teng joined Securemetric as a Senior Executive – Finance several years ago. Her day-to-day job scope includes overseeing the closing of accounting and auditing of the Securemetric Group. As we strive for innovation and continuous process improvement, Siew Teng has outperformed her finance role and has also played a huge role also taken part in the digital transformation project involving Finance processes at the group’s level.
What appeals to you the most working with us?
I like the workplace flexibility provided by the company, with Securemetric being the flexible employer, I get to enjoy some time-off when I need it. The dress code, the environment, or the communication style is casual. Employees are given freedom to decide on their work and how they want to do it best. The company is always seeking new ways to stay ahead and is open to feedback and ideas, even from interns or juniors.
How does Securemetric empowered women’s role to make an impact?
We emphasizes gender equality in the workplace, everyone has the access to the same opportunities and with the same treatment. All employees are treated equally and fairly. Guess what, I received surprise gifts on Women’s Day from the company!

Account Manager – Sales
Ruzita joins the company as a fresh graduate as the Account Manager. Ruzita is a goal–oriented person and has a strong mentality that shouts out “never give up” in all situations that she is facing. She is always a few steps ahead in preparation, when it comes to dealing with client’s requirements and issues.
How do you feel about your role as an Account Manager at Securemetric?
I love to read motivational book & doing outdoor activities. I believe with these two activities; they can always keep my mind and body healthy. And as such, it drives me to close more deals! Rolling as an Account Manager, we always do our best in listening to clients and being guided at work by the experienced sales leaders with more than 20 years in the role. I learnt how to deal with rejections, talking to customers in a professional way and chasing the pipelines to win deals. With the opportunities to learn and strive for better, I believe my career path at Securemetric is promising.

Systems Engineer
Syakirah joined us as a trainee and then offered a permanent role as the Systems Engineer. Over the past years of service with Securemetric, she has built her expertise around solution implementation, deployment and providing timely services to clients.
What is your role as a Systems Engineer at Securemetric?
As a System Engineer, I am trained to perform end-to-end project management, such as project envisioning, implementation, deployment, stabilization, and covering the maintenance SLA (Service Level Agreement) for customers. Before that, I need to make sure all the solutions proposed to the potential clients are fully working by continuously doing the testing and R&D in our own IT environment or at a test lab. My team also oversees the MIS function of the group in making sure the IT infrastructure of the company always works at all times. We have successfully rolled-out few key digital initiatives that sped up the business performances and enhanced the communication between companies. Our efforts were recognized by the business units as it helped them to function well during the work-from-home time due to the lockdown. I am happy being part of the team.
How is your experience with the company so far?
There is no limit in learning and mastering the IT skill and knowledge as the trends keep evolving. Securemetric being a cybersecurity leader in the SEA marketplace, provides a very solid platform and instill a people collaborative culture that enables employees to keep pushing themselves in a healthily competitive way. Environment was ready when I joined the first day and there are plenty of chances for me to advance myself. I am lucky enough to have onsite hands-on training with proper guidance and support from the lead. To support my professional growth, I am also allowed to take certification courses as part of my learning pathway.

Assistant Manager – Pre- Sales
Eric from Indonesia, is working in the Business Development Pre-Sales team at Securemetric, Malaysia Office. Transferred from the Quality Assurance & Testing department, he was also promoted to a managerial role with proven records in a more customer-facing position, Pre-Sales. With his strong technical consultancy knowledge, he works closely with the sales team to ensure the company’s sales KPIs are achieved.
What kind of role that a Pre-Sales department plays in supporting sales at Securemetric?
Pre-Sales Engineers provide technical consultancy and solutioning on our company’s solutions, performing proof of concept, offering product demonstration, preparing tender proposals to win deals. We are in a customer-facing role. Started with only 1-man team, our department now is growing and capable of supporting our regional offices in SEA and international markets.
How do you feel about the company overall?
The company provides good career pathways and promotion experiences to those who are capable, regardless of your grade, experience level and differences. I started my career with Securemetric as a junior Engineer as a tester, get promoted within a year due to outstanding performance. The following year, our CEO Mr. Edward Law saw the potential in me and asked if I would like to be promoted to a managerial position and having me to lead the new Pre-sales department in our company.
